Continuing from Part 1, Part 2 starts from Uji Shrine, heads to Mount Daikichi, has dinner at Saizeriya, passes by the frustrating Uji Bridge on the way back, and finally takes the train from Keihan Uji Station back to Kyoto.

Enter the trailhead to head to the famous sacred site—Mount Daikichi.

The mountain path on Mount Daikichi is winding and takes about 20 minutes one way to reach the summit.
Although not very steep, it's still quite physically demanding.
In the work, both characters climbed Mount Daikichi at night, but at the trailhead there is a very clear warning:No climbing Mount Daikichi at night!
Because there is no lighting on Mount Daikichi, and there are no railings along the path, climbing in poor light at night is very dangerous!

After much effort, I finally reached the observation deck on Mount Daikichi.
Actually, there were quite a few pilgrims on the mountain today, and I managed to find a moment without people.

A 360° view from the pavilion.

The view from the mountain is truly beautiful!
I can imagine the night view must be stunning!

Since I'm in Uji, it would be a shame not to try some matcha-related treats.
So I bought a matcha ice cream at Surugaya!
The sunset view at Uji Bridge is also very beautiful! After a day of light rain, it finally cleared up!

I was very fortunate that the seat from the scene in the story was unoccupied today, so I decisively sat there.

So frustrating!!

Unlike the scene, there doesn't seem to be a gacha machine outside the station!

It's clear that the exterior of the station was designed with great care and has a unique character.

Found a collaboration standee.

The most distinctive feature of this station is the collaboration billboards for "The Tale of Genji."

Truly beautiful!

The station sign at Uji Station has also been replaced with a collaboration sign.
Returning from Keihan Uji to Kyoto Station usually requires a transfer at Keihan Obaku Station.

Due to the 10th anniversary collaboration, Keihan Obaku Station was renamed to Kumiko Oumae Station.
It even made the local news 😆.
That concludes the entire Uji pilgrimage.
I must say, thanks to "Sound! Euphonium," every step in Uji is a sacred site, and one day is not enough to explore it all!
Afterwards, I took the train back to Kyoto.
Of course, returning to Kyoto does not mean the pilgrimage is completely over.
And then, the next piece is about to play!
