On November 2, 2025, a sunny day, I went to Kofu for a pilgrimage to the sacred sites of "mono".
Getting from Tokyo to Kofu is relatively convenient; take the limited express from Shinjuku and arrive in about 2 hours.
Note that the limited express requires reserved seats for all cars, so remember to book in advance.

As soon as I arrived at Kofu Station, I found a huge promotional board for the work.
How to spend this weekend?
The characters recommended various scenic spots in Yamanashi Prefecture, deeply tied to tourism in Yamanashi.

The library is right outside the station.
Just checking in.

Arriving in Kofu just in time for lunch, I went to the restaurant featured in the work for the eating challenge.

The restaurant not only has decorations related to the work but also a large collection of manga books.
It gives the feel of a manga café.

The original work mentions a challenge of a 2kg hamburger steak.
Actually, even the hidden menu at this restaurant only supports up to 1kg hamburger steak.
But not to mention 1kg, I doubt I could even finish 500g.

In the end, I chose the 400g hamburger steak.
When it was served, I was shocked by the portion size. Is a 400g hamburger steak really that big? Then the hamburger steaks I usually eat are only about 200g?
The overall taste of the hamburger steak was quite salty, the kind of saltiness from deep marination, so it needs to be eaten with rice.
The feeling of fullness after eating was no joke; it perfectly supported the energy needed for a day of pilgrimage.
Considering the history of this restaurant, it is indeed suitable for the needs of former heavy laborers.
Also, because the restaurant is run by only one elderly person, the serving speed is not very fast.
Since there was another table ahead of me, it took nearly an hour from ordering to serving, so you need to plan your time when making a pilgrimage.

There is also a round Dōsojin here.
On weekends and holidays, there is a bus to the Science Museum; for specific times, refer to the official website:
https://www.kagakukan.pref.yamanashi.jp/access/
If time is tight, a taxi from near Kofu Station costs about 2000 yen.

The view overlooking the entire Kofu from here is truly stunning!
Especially when you can clearly see Mount Fuji, so be sure to check whether Mount Fuji will be visible on the day before you go.
Also, the Science Museum closes at5 PM.
So under normal circumstances, it's impossible to shoot night scenes at the science museum like in the anime!
Unless there is an observation event that allows entry at night.

Near the science museum, there is a very remote path.

You can descend the mountain almost vertically.

The price is all stairs and steep slopes.
Along the way, there is a sacred site — Kaina Shrine Motomiya.
I originally wanted to visit it too, but I took the wrong path and didn't want to climb back up, so I reluctantly missed it 😭.

These stairs are very high, and the main characters can run up them — they're really strong!

Kite flying night version.

I should have bought a 3-meter selfie stick to take this photo!

The sunset view of Mount Fuji from here is really beautiful.

I also shot a time-lapse video, which made up for not being able to shoot at the science museum.

Finally, let's end this pilgrimage with the night view of Kofu! Wishing everyone a good dream tonight.
